Dr. Atit Dharia is a Consultant Nephrologist and Transplant Physician with empanelments at Multiple Tertiary Health Care and Charitable Hospitals in Mumbai. He has more than 9 years of experience practicing Nephrology with 4 years of International Experience at the prestigious University of Toronto, where he worked at Toronto General Hospital, which is ranked 4th Best Hospital in the World.

He completed his Nephrology training from Manipal Hospital, Bengaluru and then proceed to complete Fellowships in Adult Nephrology and CaRE (Cardiology, Renal, Endocrinology) from University of Toronto. He also has a fellow in Kidney Transplant (American Society of Transplantation).

He has received Advanced Training in Managing Patients with Kidney Transplant, Kidney Failure Patient on Dialysis, Diabetic Kidney Disease, and Cardiorenal Syndrome. He has numerous publications in national and international journals.

I was the finance secretary for the Organizing committee (2005 – 2006) of the annual cultural festival being organized by MGM Medical college, Kamothe.

Chief clinical fellow (representing international medical graduates) in adult Nephrology Program from Jul 2019 to Jun 2021 (Two one-year terms)
I represented a diverse group of clinical fellows from all over the world; advocated for their varied issues including academic, call schedule, research opportunity, cultural differences, remunerations among many other.

I was the chief fellow for the kidney transplant program at University of Toronto for the academic year 2020 – 2021.

I was also the fellow representative for kidney transplant program in the Multi Organ Transplant (MOT) working group – contributed to the booklet ‘Overnight Call – Protocols and Procedures’ for the year 2020 - 2021.
